Liverpool Basketball (operated by Kings Dock Sports Group Limited) ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through liverpool.basketball, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law.
We are the "data controller" for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. What We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Email address, when you sign up for updates via our landing page
Information collected automatically:
- Standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on site)
- Data collected via tracking pixels for advertising and retargeting purposes (see Section 4)
We do not collect payment or ticketing information. If you click "Get Tickets," you are taken to a third-party ticketing/arena website, which has its own separate privacy policy governing that transaction. We have no access to or control over the data you provide there.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies, including:
- Google (Google Ads / Analytics) — to measure site traffic and show you relevant Liverpool Basketball ads on other websites and platforms
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — to measure site activity and show you relevant Liverpool Basketball ads on Meta platforms
These tools may set cookies and collect data such as your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity, which may be shared with Google and Meta as independent controllers/processors under their own privacy policies:
Non-essential cookies (including advertising/retargeting pixels) will only be set with your consent, collected via the cookie banner on this site. You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer.
Some data processed by Google and Meta may be transferred outside the UK. Where this occurs, it is done under these providers' own approved data transfer safeguards.
5. Data Sharing with the Arena
In the future, we may enable tracking technology that allows Liverpool Basketball and the arena hosting our home games to each collect data on visitors to the other's website (for example, so we can measure how many of our site's visitors go on to purchase tickets, and vice versa). Where this is enabled:
- Data collected in this way may be shared between Liverpool Basketball and the arena for the purposes of measuring ticket conversion, retargeting advertising, and understanding shared audiences
- Each organisation remains responsible for its own use of the data it collects, in accordance with its own privacy policy
- This policy will be updated, and consent will be obtained via the cookie banner, before any such tracking is switched on
This arrangement is not currently active. This section will be updated with further detail once it is implemented.
6. Data Retention
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed, or until you ask us to delete it. Data collected via advertising pixels is retained according to Google's and Meta's own retention policies, which are outside our direct control.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data properly

8. Third-Party Links
Our "Get Tickets" button links to a third-party arena/ticketing website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of that site. Please review their privacy policy separately before providing any information there. See Section 5 for how data may be shared between us and the arena.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
